I'm super pumped for the work day to be over because tonight I'm going to Taylor Swift's senior prom! Since she is home schooled, Big Machine is throwing a prom for her with her friends and some industry people. And yes, I totally bought a dress for this. I hear there will also be a disco ball...

Random thought - how cool would it be to hear your own songs playing at your senior prom?

So I made the trek out to California for my 3rd consecutive Coachella festival. You can't break tradition, you know? This year we only had a one day pass, but luckily we picked the right day (Saturday) and bought our tickets before it was announced that The Artist himself would be headlining.

I used my trusty flip cam to capture some footage from the festivities.

 This first video gives you an idea of what the main grounds looks like. We were heading over from the dance tents to the main stage where Portishead was playing. 

Now this is the moment I had been waiting for all day long. We pushed our way through the crowd and were about 20 yards away from the stage for Prince's performance. He was only 30 minutes late (I lost a bet - figured it would be at least an hour). Check out how shiney he is! I couldn't help but laugh about it, which I think is captured in the video.

 And lastly I had to film part of the performance of "1999." I remember being pissed as a kid because I wasn't graduating high school in 1999 and was completely convinced that it was by far the coolest song ever to have playing for every single monumental event of your senior year. I probably told my parents I hated them for having me too late.
