This month will officially mark the 3 year anniversary of my college graduation. After spending 4 years away in the energetic city of Boston (while collecting enough college loans to purchase multiple luxury cars like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc), I made the depressing return back home to live with Mom and Dad. Many people would find this opportunity a blessing - the ability to live rent-free with access to free laundry, utilities and home-cooked meals. Well let me tell you.. it's a misconception, especially when it comes to the "fully stocked fridge". This is what I come home to every day: Here..let me englarge it with a little Perez Hilton influence for full effect... Soda, butter, baking soda, lemons, onions... is anyone hungry yet? Now I know what everyone is thinking.. "You have a job! Go out and buy your own damn food!" And this is a valid question.. I'll have you know that I am not cheap and do go food shopping for my family every other week. But when it's NOT my turn, this is what I'm left with... somehow I don't think it's fair. That being said, I'd love to move out on my own and into the city.. but before college, I made a deal with the devil known as Sallie Mae (Student Loan Lender) and now have to pay an obscene amount of money back to her until I'm 42. At least I'm lucky enough to have a house to come back to..full fridge or not.. right? The Week the 3rd Floor Went to Lunch
Friday, April 11, 2008, 05:44 PM EST [General]
With spring approaching and this week's surge of warm weather, the CCOMR employees of the 3rd floor took it upon themselves to shut down their workstations at precisely 1pm and head out to enjoy a lunch hour in the beautiful city of New York. Here are the top 5 things we enjoyed the most and constantly miss out on while being cooped up in an office each day: 1) Sunlight and strolling through the city 2) Walking onto movie sets 3) Bonding with all the CCOMR foodies 4) Trying new dishes (ahem, ELISA)!! 5) Making time for dessert at Pinkberry! Can't wait to continue these leisure lunches!! |
