Insomnia in CA means Zoo in NJ

So the one good thing about having insomnia while out in CA is that when I am up the Morning Zoo is on! :-) 3am=6am its perfect!!! :-)

So it has been a few months since I have been getting up early and beating all the rush hour traffic to make it to the Zoo. Now I realize how much I miss it. I knew I would miss it and practically did within 2 minutes of leaving considering I even went to intern the morning of my flight before I even packed. It is easily a place to get attached to probably because the people are some of the most interesting and AMAZING people you will ever meet. I miss them all! :( Life without the Zoo is a life without FUN! Maybe they should move their offices out to Los Angeles so I can work for them while I am out in CA for school! (I know that will never happen...but its nice to dream!) xoxo :-) Peace & Love

Being a Domestic Intern

So I decided to make chocolate covered strawberries and bring them in for the morning zoo to prove that I AM domestic....the cookies were good, but these are AMAZING!!! (I even cleaned up EVERYTHING!!!) Check out the pictures in the photo area! :-) xoxo

Paige: Phone Taps make me happy!
Being an intern I get the wonderful pleasure of reading through HUNDREDS (no exaggeration) of Phone Tap ideas! Yes, that is right...I am one of the people set out to pick and choose the ideas that come in. (And let me tell you, the ideas are constantly coming in!) I feel myself asking TJ everyday to print out more Phone Tap ideas from the listeners and EVERYDAY he hands me at least 100 fresh from the printer to go through. Although reading them seems a little tedious sometimes, in the end...a good Phone Tap is totally worth it!
When I first call people to tell them that we have chosen their idea and plan on setting it up with Danielle Monaro (I search for her Phone Taps) you can hear the excitement of the person on the other end beaming through the phone. It is amazing how excited some people get for the mere fact of pissing someone else off as a joke! Those are the ones I get excited for as well. After setting up the Phone Taps, Danielle and I get ready to do our part. Danielle is an EXCELLENT Phone Tapper! She really does know how to get people worked up and you can tell she has had some experience pushing buttons. Hearing the unedited versions of some of these phone calls though is incredibly shocking sometimes. THE THINGS PEOPLE SAY!!!
It is the transformation of attitudes that truly blows my mind thoough. People get so mean so fast and then as soon as we tell them it is a joke and we are from the Morning Zoo, they are as cool as a cucumber (yes I did just use that simile) and are all for having us air their hissy fit. Everytime I hear a Phone Tap that I helped set up from start to end it makes my day! Phone Taps just make me happy now, especially when I know I had a role in it! I respect the process of them and all of the DJs really do an amazing job of Phone Tapping and I hope you all look forward for my debut because I plan on starring in a Phone Tap before my time here is done! Check you all on the flip side!

Avril Made Me Cry!

I know the title may seem made up...but it is the TRUTH! Her new music video for "When You're Gone" is absolutely a tear-jerker. I was cuddling with Danielle in a corner sobbing while I am positive I saw Carolina shedding a few tears across the room. Check the video out...how touching!

Anyways, on to more cheery things! On Tuesday morning something or shall I say, SOMEONE, unexpectedly walked through the doors of the Morning Zoo Office! Non other than Colonel Sanders...well a look-a-like but you tell me if you can tell! At first I just looked at Laine and Garrett with the "is this really happening" expression on my face and when I realized he was actually at the station...I NEEDED A PICTURE!
I also have pictures on my Zzone page of Skeery eating Oreos off of the bathroom floor...with no hands! (EW!) Yes, I said that correctly, the bathroom floor!!! Katie (another intern) and I were just watching in disgust and I am sure Skeery was feeling a little gross too! So, what does Brody do? HE THROWS TWO MORE COOKIES ON THE FLOOR! Brilliant!!! Ugh!
