PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS WELCOMES Z100/NY'S ROMEO TO ANCHOR LIVE EARTH U.S. CONCERT FOR RADIO STATIONS NATIONWIDE
LOS ANGELES, June 21, 2007 - Premiere Radio Networks announced today that N.Y.'s Z100 "Romeo on the Radio" Host and Music Director Romeo will anchor Premiere Radio's Contemporary Hits Radio coverage of the "Live Earth" concert on July 7. He will broadcast live, backstage, from Giants Stadium in New Jersey - the U.S. location of the international "Live Earth" concerts. The special programming will be heard in New York on Z100 and radio stations nationwide. Romeo will bring listeners live interviews with artists and celebrities participating in the concert, which was created by Kevin Wall and Al Gore to raise awareness about global warming.
"Being the huge music fan I am, being at Live Earth is going to be an amazing experience," said Romeo. "It'll be great sharing that with listeners all over the country and making sure they feel like they're right there with me."
Premiere Radio will bring this format-exclusive opportunity to AAA/HAC, Alternative/Active Rock, CHR/Top 40 and Classic Rock radio stations. Additional format hosts who will anchor and do interviews backstage in New York and London will continue to be named as the concert draws nearer. The programming will air nationally from noon to 8pm ET. Concert coverage will also be provided to radio stations affiliated with Premiere News and Prep (www.PremierePrep.com).
Some of the artists scheduled to perform at "Live Earth" include: Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Melissa Etheridge, The Police, Corinne Bailey Rae, John Legend, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna, Beastie Boys, Genesis and Duran Duran.

Romeo debuted on Z100 in February 2002 with his popular nightly show "Romeo on the Radio." In addition to his on-air duties, he has been the music director at the station since April 2006 and assistant music director from 2003-2006. Romeo is also featured in an on-line video game based on his Z100 show.
