Did Drew Peterson's friends wear a wire? (Prime News With Mike Galanos)

Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 11:40 PM EST [General]

I also decided to post up a blog of what I read from the newsletter and what I watched and heard on the news this evening... I have to say some of what Mike Galanos talked about caught my attention...

Hey, it’s Mike Galanos here. Former cop Drew Peterson is back in the news and the story of his missing wife just keeps getting weirder.

Some of Drew’s so-called friends told the Chicago Sun Times that they strapped on a wire and talked to Drew about his third wife’s murder and his fourth wife’s disappearance. We all know Drew likes to talk, but did he say something that could lead to his arrest?

These two “friends” say they recorded Drew for seven months. They claim Drew called investigators idiots and told them cops wouldn’t find Stacy Peterson’s remains.

Peterson fired back and said he’s confident he didn’t say anything that would incriminate him. In fact, he thinks if he was indeed wire-tapped, it would actually do more to clear his name.

Mike is taking your calls on this. So if you have questions about the investigation or just want to sound off, now’s your chance.

    Also on deck:

A guy was arrested for drunk driving and his blood alcohol content was six times over the legal limit! Cops say it was the highest ever recorded in Rhode Island for someone who wasn't dead.

The WNBA just had its first-ever brawl. Ladies were punching, kicking and tackling each other at mid-court. Wait until you see what happened when one of the male coaches got involved.
