Last week before I went on vacation, I visited the Smart for Life Manhattan offices and was thrilled to find out that I've lost...are you ready for this?...18 pounds in one month! Yay me! Considering that my goal is to lose 100 pounds by next summer, I have a long way to go. But 18 is a big number for me. It means so many things. It means that I didn't just lost 2 pounds or 5 pounds or 10 pounds. It means that I've lost 18 pounds on the Smart for Life program so far! Do you understand how huge this is for me? It's 2 pounds away from 20! It really gives me hope that I can do this! I mean, my goal of 100 pounds seemed really insurmountable when I first began. But now that I'm almost at 20 pounds, I feel that 30 pounds is totally possible. Then after 30 pounds, it means that 30 more pounds would get me to 60. I know I'm throwing out a lot of numbers here, but my point is...weight loss is a difficult accomplishment for someone like me who loves to eat whatever I want, whenever I want. So when I see that I've been able to lose 18 pounds, it really makes me know that my weight loss is not insurmountable! If I can do it, so can you! I'm so happy that I've lost 18 pounds in just one month on the Smart for Life program. And I'm not starving myself.
